Michael V. Novinski, President and Chief Executive Officer, joined Emisphere in May 2007. Previously, Mr. Novinski was President of Organon USA, and prior the Executive Vice President of Operations and Marketing for Organon International. In June 2004, he was elected to the Board of Directors for Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America. Mr. Novinski received his B.S. in Biology from Washington and Jefferson College.
  Michael Garone, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, joined Emisphere in August 2007. Mr. Garone was the previous CFO and Interim Chief Executive Officer of Astralis, Ltd., a biotechnology company. Prior to that, Mr. Garone spent two decades at AT&T, where he held a variety of positions, including CFO of AT&T Alascom. Mr. Garone received his MBA from Columbia University, and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. He received his BA in Mathematics from Colgate University, Hamilton, NY.
  Paul Lubetkin, Vice President and General Counsel, joined Emisphere in September 2007. Mr. Lubetkin is the previous Vice President and General Counsel of Aptuit, Inc., a private global contract research organization providing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Prior to that, Mr. Lubetkin was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Odyssey Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Lubetkin received his J.D. (with distinction) at the University of Iowa College of Law, Iowa City, Iowa, and his B.S. from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois.
  Gary Riley, BVSc, MVSc, Vice President, Nonclinical Development and Applied Biology, joined Emisphere in October 2007. Previously, he was the Vice President of Toxicology and Applied Biology at Alkermes, Inc. and Director of Pathobiology at Lederle Laboratories. He is certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists and the American Board of Toxicology. He is the senior author of over 30 nonclinical IND and NDA submissions for the FDA and EU drug registration agencies.
  Richard E. Connor, Assistant Vice President, Quality and Facilities, joined Emisphere in February 2001 as Senior Director, Quality. Previous positions include Director, Quality Control at Purdue Pharma L.P, and held various positions in Quality Control and Technical Services with Aventis SA. Mr. Connor received his M.S. in Chemistry from Boston College.
  Bob Madison, Senior Director, Corporate Communications, joined Emisphere in June 2007. Previously, Mr. Madison was Public Affairs Director at Hoffmann-La Roche and National Communications Director at the American Liver Foundation (ALF). Mr. Madison holds a B.A. in English Literature from Queens College.
  Barbara E. Mohl, SPHR, Vice President, Human Resources, joined Emisphere in June 1997 as Director, Human Resources. Ms. Mohl was previously a Human Resources Director for Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical Research Institute. Ms. Mohl received a B.S. in Communications and Psychology from State University of NY at Buffalo and completed graduate work at Rider College.
